Technical Director

You'll be a technical leader that likes to bring fun and humour to your work and you're motivated by supporting and nurturing teams to be their best. At the same time, your style is proactive, thorough, collaborative and you posses experience with strategic planning.
It's important this role keep awareness of emerging industry practices and so we can apply them to Resn. So, we need someone who is really passionate about innovation and pushing the boundaries.
Ensuring the technical success of our projects.
Defining Resn's technical standards, strategy and training; enabling the team to consistently execute interactive experiences
Setting the studio technical direction and strategy, seeking opportunities to continuously improve our practices
Ensuring risks are identified, mitigated and resolved with foresight to proactively manage
A technical client contact and point of escalation for technical issues
Planner and leader of the technical aspects of projects from conception through to delivery and beyond
Lead the team in all aspects of front-end and back-end implementation, including but not limited to choosing appropriate stacks, defining project scope, helping estimation, overseeing on a daily basis
Grow, nurture, facilitate and support the development team
Recruitment and development of the team
5+ years experience in Senior Dev and/or Technical leadership in multi-disciplinary development teams. Preferably WebGL/Three.js, HTML, Mobile and some back end, experience in scoping, estimating and scheduling of project development and producing detailed associated documentation.
A strong technical track record in terms of architecture and structure of all the aspects of delivering award winning interactive web projects.
People leadership experience including hiring, mentoring, reviewing and developing a team
Exceptional ability to communicate (written, oral and telepathic) complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand, ensuring that non-technical colleagues and clients are able to understand approaches, issues and risks.
A calm, organised and coherent leadership style, with an uncanny prescience combined with the ability to see the future.
The ability to view projects from a high level perspective, drawing on knowledge from other members of the team in order to make strong, balanced and clear decisions, whilst also communicating the consequences of these decisions to the team.
